Hine, J. Hazel (Henry)
Of Joliet, at her residence, Monday, June 16, 2008. Age 96 years.
Survived by two sons, Kenneth (Miranda) Hine of Syracuse, NY, and Dirk Hine of Bloomington, IN; one daughter, Janet (Douglas) McNabb of Joliet;seven grandchildren, Elizabeth Walker, Christina Hine-Reber, Kenneth Hine III, Annabel Hine, Oliver Hine, Mary Wilcox, and Jennifer Casper; 20 great-grandchildren; a sister, Alberta Coan; also numerous nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth; twin sons at birth; and a sister, Mildred Bearden.
Born in Beardstown, IL, and had lived in Indiana and Illinois, and in Joliet for the past six years. She was active in First Presbyterian Church of Michigan City, IN, and in Westminster Presbyterian Church in Joliet. She lived for her family and church and will be greatly missed.
Funeral services will be held at Westminster Presbyterian Church on Saturday, June 21st at 2:00 P.M. with Rev. Matthew Robinson officiating. Interment of ashes will be in Furnessville Cemetery in Chesterton, IN at a later date.
Memorials to Joliet Area Community Hospice, Westminster Presbyterian Church of Joliet, or First Presbyterian Church of Michigan City, IN will be appreciated. Visitation at the church Saturday at 1 P.M. until time of services.
